V.E.D.A. Voluntarios en Defensa de los Animales (Volunteers in Defense of Animals) is a non-profit organisation whose principal objective is to protect the rights of animals and encourage the education of these rights by teaching people to be responsible with animals.

As animal lovers, and because of our commitment to nature and the environment, we at Ruta Verde Tours sympathise with the goals of V.E.D.A, and we encourage and support its activities. We invite you to volunteer and assist VEDA members with the care and attention of rescued animals. There are no participation fees and Ruta Verde Tours offers a special discount to VEDA volunteers for tours in the surroundings of Santa Cruz.
